Copper ring?

I dug this today at my 1800s home permission. Its copper and i think silver. Never seen anything like it before. It almost looks handmade. Ive found some really old stuff at this place. Back to the late 1700s. Any thoughts?

in my opinion, that ring is probably not more than 5 years old

Someone else told me it was probably gold plated at one time.

It is a wire twist ring, they make them today, not sure how far back in history they go.
