Copper Mask ID

Can anyone help ID this. It was found at an old Catholic mission in Wy that dates back to the 1880s.
Made of what apears to be thin copper. About 1.5" X 1.5". I can't see any marks where a pin may have been attached.

Clearly in the Art Nouveau style dating 1880s-1914.

Most similar item I can find is this, although I don't think yours is a hat pin & as it has no obivious fittings I can't guess;

I would also say art nouveau hat or a hair pin.
these would be soft soldered onto a barrette
or bobby pin, which would be a reason there
is not any "connection" piece on the back.

I agree it might be casket decor, I've seen some kind of like it here when a cematary that was supposed to have been relocated and wasn't flooded out.

Wow. There is a cemetery about a 1/4 mile away. Hope I'm not grave robbing.
Here are some other items found in the same area. This is near a church, in what is now a horse pasture.
Have found lots of coins and jewelry. The cameo bracelet is one of my favorite finds.

Looks like you got yourself some good finds and a great spot.

Great finds, No I don't think your grave robbing, but where the church and cematary are located, it is possible a piece fell off inroute to the graveyard, but then again years ago possible cematary was next to the church, no tellin!

But in any case your not graverobbin! And the other wonderful finds keep goin back and findin them they are great, as above there were lots of events at churches so there is hopefully lots more to find!
