Saturday DeArmitt and I hit the 1797 Tavern. Not Much was happening for me. I couldn't get a good signal to save my bass and I was digging all the crappy ones too. DeArmitt however got a 1826 Largie and what may be one of those Irish half pennys. You can't see much on the second copper.
Today we tried a Field that has hosted Native Americans, Forbes Troops from the French and Indian War, and Washington's troops for the Whiskey Rebellion. The field was recently plowed and it rained a bit a couple of days ago. Although a bit muddy the Points really stood out. DeArmitt found a Musketball right on the surface, what is left of an old spoon and a broken point. I ended up with 6 points. I didn't think I was going to find any Musketballs but manged two after a couple of hours hunting. I also got a 12-41 reading on the E-Trac with a target just under the surface. Turned out to be a George ? Copper. Any of the Coppers I've gotten out of that field have really been beat. Too many years of farming and fertilizer I guess.
