Copper hoarding????

I bought a ryedale and had a guy ask me to get him 1000 (yea one thousand) face value of copper cents asap.

Have not seen any posts lately of copper cents hoarding? Is it still going on, or has the percentages dropped off drastically

I save all my pre 1982 pennies and all nickles that i get as change.Whether or not the price is down or not,a metal thats easy to work could come in handy.Never know.

I hoard copper cents. Hoarding copper cents is what originally got me started in CHR. And I intend to keep hoarding until they discontinue minting cents or until copper cents become as scarce as silver dimes.

I keep all copper cents, but I am by no means a big cent hunter. Yesterday I bought my first box/bag of cents in months. I am going to list my copper cents on Craigslist as soon as I get around to counting them. :(
Silver is so much better!

I hoard all copper cents, easy to look at a date and throw in a separate coffee can. Might be essentially futile, but why not? 2 1/2 cent current value. Haven't started saving nickels yet.

I save Wheat pennies if I find them, but that's about it, plus I have about 500 Canadian pennies I'm keeping just for fun, since they don't make them anymore.

Copper is what got me into CRH but I haven't picked any up in a long time as the half hunting has been good lately. I have a 5 gallon bucket full and sold another 5 gal bucket for a tidy profit about a year ago. Haven't heard much buzz about copper lately, but I am sure I will get back on the cent grind in the near future. As soon as I make room for another bucket. I also save the wheat, of course. Have over $25 face in them so far. Only about 3 Indians in all my boxes. HH!

I don't see a point in actively saving canadian copper cents and not saving US copper cents. If you're melting it makes sense to save the canadian coppers but if you're just saving it doesn't matter if they are US or Canadian.
