That is the title I give these green discs. I always think dandy or copper coin then see how thin they are.....and then the punched hole. Usually around power lines so I was wondering what exactly they are. Anyone have an idea? Thanks all, HH. 20171103_091111.webp

Look like the tags for locker keys.

Farm/Mine tags. I've found a couple dozen of these in W PA this year. Most like yours, some with the mine name and some with the farm name. Some with different shapes, octagon and "snowman" shape. I have one that has a mine name stamped on one side and a farm on the other, recycled tag... For me they are fun to dig as they often have a date or name that I can research. I'll post a pic of my 2017 tags with my end of year post. Cool

Awesome. Looking forward to that post come years end.

After another member mentioned them being miners check in tags I realized these always pop up around old mining towns and/or entrances. I see that green disc and the heart skips a beat......then see they're a little oversized and thin...then you see the hole in them. Lol.
