Any ideas? Lincoln is for size.Weighs about 5 ounces. It is copper colored and has a few very small spots of turquiose blue that fades to black. This was in a display case that was full of "junk" ;) purchased at an estate sale.

Is it malleable? What streak do you get?

Looks to be native copper to me with some oxidation minerals such as bornite. I have a piece that looks just like the one you have. It was collected in Michigan.

if it feels like Makeup its Valeriite, if its hard could be native coper,, I posted a picture of Valeriite on hard rock IMG_20130402_184427_402.jpg Forum and its natural feature includes Bornite ushually,, also found with Peacock Pyrites and sulfates.

Wow this post was 7 years old and now all these responses. I kind of have my rock collection in storage at the moment. I will post some better pics when I get it out. It may be a week though, lol. Sorry.
