Hello Friends-
I have found a cool old(?) ring in a strange location, up in the canyons above Salt Lake City, UT, not far from a 1890's mine site. What's strange is I was walking down the bottom of a steep ravine, just swinging without looking and I got high-tone hit about 5 ft up the steep ravine wall. Low and behold this interesting ring pops out! I saw gold(?) and had one of those moments. After cleaning out the dirt..., I saw that the band looks to be a different metal than the golden looking top. I tested the ring for magnetic properties and it is not magnetic. Here are some images, I can post better angles if it helps anyone. I do believe that this ring was not lost recently. The location was way off trail, and not somewhere where people normally go.
