Picked this up at my favorite thrift at lunchtime today. All jewelry items there are $1.00 unless they are huge or very glitzy.

14k / old cut diamond / transition clasp dates it to about 1915.

That's a cool find ! Was that $1.00?

So pretty, you got a deal!

WOW! That is banner find! A buck??? Good for you! How much does it weigh?

Nice old find. Is that called a "lever catch"? I guess it dates between the c catch and tube catch but before the safety catch? This makes it a transitional catch? Is this the same catch as the one on my 10k amethyst bar brooch? Sorry so many questions-

Diggummup, My hat is off to you. Despite the fact you know so much, are the go to guy here for pretty much all of us, you do help so much and all: you aren't too proud to ask a question yourself. I know if you reply at all, you will be humble, but it is a refreshing quality you show that not all in your shoes seem able to do. Thanks for all your info on here over the years.
