You could sell on eBay to a vintage car collector.

I'm sure someone out there would love an original for their restoration!

...just need to figure out what it's for! Can't find any 'crown' cars?

Never thought to check Nash for a key with a crown!

Thanks guys, this one will go in the collection!

Uncut is worth more.
As a locksmith, I have many older key blanks for Chevy's, Ford's, etc.
They sell very well at Classic car shows, etc. Especially when you can generate a key to work a lock that's over 50 years old! :headbang:
Definately a Nash.

PS.
Kracer, you are right. I'm sure it will match up to one of the 6 cut square head blanks, pre VATS...something like a B46? I'd bet that it would fit certain models of Cadillacs, my first impression of the pic. Definitely for the ignition; the oval heads were for the doors and trunk....I don't have my ILCO book handy to compare bitting and would also have to see both sides to be able to tell ALL model cars this key would fit......

Update:
The actual blank is either an RA-1 or an RA-2. Also used on American Motors but not GM.

As you can see, the bitting is similar to a B-46.

Oh cool so you can have it cut for a lot of different cars! Totally neat.

Going in my key bucket! lol

Actually, it is a fairly specific blank.
I'm wondering what you could get for it on Feebay?
I'd bet you could get at least $10 for it cleaned up at a car show.
It is an original "Factory" blank. The RA-1 and RA-2 are "aftermarket" blanks.
A serious(rich) Nash Collector would probably pay a premium for it. Perhaps float it on some Nash Collector websites and see if you get any bites.

I don't know the best way to clean it, but I'm guessing it is made of brass with a nickel plating, which may or may not still be intact.

Best,
Scott
