Cool find from Florida and rock with mystery writing from Italy beach

Found this rock with writing on beach on Isle of Capri in Italy...can't figure it out. Any ideas? Other appears to be a pretty cool doorknob for old house found in Florida - has owl on fence and stars above. Thanks for checking it out...
