Found this in an old wet weather ditch while visiting the grandchildren on Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell me what it might be? Thank you

It's an interesting looking banded type of rock is what I'm thinking.

Thanks a lot I'm looking up serpentine specimens right now. I love this piece and I know it sounds crazy but the color seems to have faded a small bit. Maybe not. Could be just old eyes. THANKS AGAIN!
