This is the results of a couple of small hunts, last one being yesterday afternoon. I found 9 of the Wheat pennies yesterday dating from 1919 to 1956. No silver from this permission, but with all the Wheats there has to be some there, if it hasn't been cherry picked at some time. Also found the old American Airlines kid ring then. From my research they were given to girls in the 1950's, when they flew on American Airlines. It has on it Junior Stewardess, and still has a lot of the original guilding left. $5.88 in clad, a smiling rat token, aka Chucky Cheese, an old heart charm that doesn't seem to be silver, and an old butter knife marked Brazil Silver. No silver in the knife, just probably silver plated nickel at one time. Nothing really great, but still a lot of fun. The temps in Pa have been really high and the humidity as well. Thanks for looking and keep on swinging. IMG_0003.JPGIMG_0002.JPGIMG_0001.JPGIMG_0004.JPGIMG_0005.JPGIMG_0006.JPGIMG_0007.JPGIMG_0008.JPGIMG_0009.JPG

Very cool AA ring. My dad was a pilot for TWA so I can appreciate the trinkets they used to hand out. Nice harvest of wheats. Yes, those blasted cherry pickers from days gone by.:cussing: Ha ha! I probably find more war nickels as a result of them danged cherry pickers who notch out nickels. Hot & humid here today but, I think I can manage an hour or so at the neighbors running my large Mars Tiger coil to see if I can squeak out an old coin.

Really nice finds, and I Love the ring! In the early 1960s, we had to dress in our suits and ties, my sisters had to wear their white gloves, and "Plane Grandma," my Great-Grandmother, wore furs to get on an airplane!!! The Stewardess would take us up to the cockpit to meet the Captain, and sometimes we would get "Junior Pilot" wings, and the girls would get the Stewardess rings! Thanks for the memory rush! :occasion14:

pretty cool ring, As a little kid, about 5yrs old, flew to Germany from Ark for three years or so. We were dressed like for church or a wedding, landed to a foot of snow. I used to have a couple sets of TWA wings, they were pretty cool. on the way back to the states, I kept looking for the ice "birds" that everyone else could make out way down below us. finally a man told me that it was bergs not birds.

Congratualtions on the very productive hunt! :occasion14: The ring an knife are very nice relics! :icon_thumleft:
