have not heard anything more about the detecting ban in cook county is their any progress being made or is it still looking bad i really miss all the videos and posts from you guys dennis

Cook county forest preserves.

Again legislation passed without knowing what they were passing it for. Have been told that people with metal detectors go out int the woods with shovels and dig big holes. I have seen these holes i the forewt preserve near my house. They were dug out by the bicyclists who us the dirt to build their ramps and burma.

The board doesnt want law abiding people wi metal detectors in the woods taking garbage out but it is ok for pimps, hookers, johns, prostitutes, junkies, drug dealers, perverts, poachers and others carrying on illegal activity to go out there.

I knew about the hunting ban in the preserves, but I didn't know it was trying to be reversed. I live just a few blocks from one and twice I've call about hooks and pimps back there. One of the times CC police DID show up and make arrests. Clearly from just reading these forums everyone is pretty cautious about filling holes back in. Hope it passes.
