I have a 531 system and my friend has a 595 system. My fish is a single (500 KHz) frequency 422S and has 3 pins with dual bands and a guide pin on the connector. My buddies’ fish is a dual frequency and has a multiple pins (more than 6) with no bands. Each one is a single conductor pin. There is a serial number on the stainless tab that holds the tow cable. Klein should be able to give you the info on this fish if you give them the serial number. It is very important that you have the right TVG boards for the frequency of fish. Most are 100 KHz and are good for long range but you give up resolution. You can find a ship, but a treasure chest may be tough

I have 2 old 531 consoles, but am unwilling to part with them because Klein doesn't support this stuff any more. What you possess needs to be held on to if you are going to have an operating system. I have recently purchased my fish and have had part of a system for many years. I do have a whole spool of tow cable (not lightweight) that is of little use to me, but I don’t know what length it is and don’t have access to a TDR to shoot it. I would entertain the idea of purchasing your fish if you don’t want to try to build a system. I can make either type of fish work with my system. If anyone reading this has any old parts, even burnt or flooded, I would like to chat with you about them. I am a hobbyist, so be gentle. If you believe that they are gold plated, I am not interested (Greg!). I can repair circuit boards and this may be the only way I can break into the hobby.
I also have several Technical Manuals if information is needed. If anyone needs info, I will do what I can, when I can.
You can PM me if you are interested in chatting about these things.
