I haven’t posted any of my finds on here recently but I figured I would post my stuff I found over winter break. I detected two construction sites in the city from neighborhoods dating back to the 1890s. Pretty good variety of finds I’d say.

I got a ton of marbles and buttons.
Quite a few trade tokens and promotional tokens

One of them is for some kind of median/psychic from the 1900s. The others are from Lord Baltimore clothing co. And another for the Virginia fruit juice company. Netted two local trade tokens but neither were listed in the LA token catalog. Also got a slick Queen Victoria cent and a number of wheats

A piece of an old razor, one of those C.H. Guyot suspender adjusters, what looks like a turn of the century belt buckle and, a hat(?) badge for NOPSI, which may be for a streetcar conductor

Also got a nice amber bottle for Dr. Morse’s Indian Root Pills and a local soda water bottle with the bale still intact.

My favorite find is the Louisiana Pelican button. Funny thing is the house where I found it at was not built till the 1890s. So I guess it was lost after the war. The back reads “Scovill mfg. co.” The other side is very crusty still but you can see the pelicans wings on the side and some of the gilt. Any cleaning tips would be appreciated
