Relic Hunting
I got out this afternoon and did some relic hunting. I hunted a Confederate spot today. I found the normal gardners & round balls but a few odd ones showed up. The one gardner looks like it was pulled & shot out of a beach loader. One bullet was loaded backwards & pulled. One was pulled & carved. I have off till the 2nd so I'm going to get after it this coming week. Happy holidays & happy hunting.

That is some very cool lead! I love the backwards load. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I've had some Yankee bullet's that I recovered that have been loaded backward's!!! Very cool saves!! Merry Christmas

Great work on your finds.

Yep, I'd be all over that spot....can't wait to see what you find in the next few days, good luck!

Just amazing , the 'pulls' are totally cool.
&
That pulled & fired ??? wow , Talk about recycling . LOL

A Merry Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

Nice lead!! I'd decorate my tree with those...lol

Great finds I wish I had those for my display case. My town is kinda boring no Battles founded in 1817. Great post I love just the history and the story those tell. Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays Tommy

Merry Christmas Digger, and Congrat's to you on the saved Confetrit' Lead. That was some present for sure. Love those Gardner bullets. Well Done.

Very nice hunt! :occasion14: The carved pieces are cool! :icon_thumleft:

Outstanding finds!!! We use to have spots like that where the finds seemed unlimited, but since I've returned to detecting I've found times have changed and people are more reluctant to offering permissions to some really great civil war sites. I'm not giving up on them just yet and hopefully the landowners will change there minds and let us back in. Again, Congrats and as usual thanks for sharing Digger!!! "D"

Thanks buddy. It's getting harder & harder to get "new permissions". I got a new machine that handles the bad ground I hunt. Happy new year
