My buddy Matt called me up and told me that he got a call from another friend about a potential new site just outside of Savannah, GA. I met Matt at the site to see if there was history to be saved. Our first hunt was great. Here is what I found.

Very Cool!!!!! Congrats!!!!

All are great finds! You have a fantastic spot to dig. I know nothing about glass but I’ve never seen a bottle like that. Very cool stuff.

Well Done Congratulations on your nice recoveries
Please accept my Banner Vote on the bottle

That bottle is awesome. Did you dig it?? Either way, thats epic!
Yes, I dug the bottle. It's in the video attached about a third of the way through. Thanks!

Yes exactly along those lines.
The funny part is that you can see my excitement level on the video is much higher this buckle than anything else. You know how it is when you have a site with potential rev war activity! Its another level of saving history and treasure hunting.

Congrats on the great recoveries.

Now even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in awhile, while pulling the horseshoe out of....
Meaning doing the shovel hit on the beauty, and not doing any damage, so lucky!
Really thought your buddy might of gotten up and used the Shovel.🤣

The buckle is a very nice, and you sounded stoked.👍
Liking the tags, is that your oldest dog tag?

yeah, I was thinking possible rev war broderick buckle?
CONGRATS

I believe those large spectacle Buckles are 18th C, I found one in the back garden of an 18th C Manor House.
You also have a broken 17th C Spur Buckle.

What is the story on the Button? (ID?)

The button is a Confederate Georgia State Seal button locally made from the Civil War.

Congrats on the great recoveries.

The oldest dog tag that I have found is 1859 City of Savannah a few years ago.
