Yesterday on the beach (old wharf/pier) I found an old time piece plate and a pocketknife. I also found a concave shaped item that originally had three attached eyelets so that the dome could be affixed to wood? It had brass readings on the metal detector (42-45) and is not perfectly domed. Maybe it covers a "grounding" wire bundle? My guess is it is circa 1930-1960. Anyone seen one of these?

I agree with the corner off a trunk. Or some type of luggage.

Dunno what the domed piece is but your other item is the side plate from a fishing reel not a timepiece.
Thanks Gunsil!
The thing on the left could be the base of an old fashioned fire detector?
Thanks Goldilocks. It does have a semi circular raised arm on one side that could've meant it was some type of electrical plate...rheostat/fire detection...interesting. Gunsill's observation of a fishing reel has merit as well.

Thanks all for weighing in....

It''s definitely the side plate from a fishing reel, has nothing to do with electrical plate or fire detector.
