Completely clear marble

Marble is nonmetallic - found it completely by chance as I dug a different signal. Marble is completely clear - hadn't seen such a thing before - even online I cant find such an item - most have some sort of inclusion. Site was a home that dated back to the 1800s. Any kind of background you can offer?

Kids used to call them clearies. Fairly common and in lots of different colors.

We called them Puries.
you could get them out of a rattle can of paint.
