this was found where we have been hunting the last month.... We beleive the stuff we have found date back to 188? This past weekend we also found the rim to a wagon wheel, and another piece of metal with a date 1888. Any ideas to what this is or value.. We are thinking it is a compass or caliper.... It was rusted shut, but has been soaking and now opens fully....
