There are to many variables involved to give depth readings of one of these over another as in a different location the other one might work better. As for the most stable in bad ground, it is the detector that is set up correctly. After setting it up, targets that beep one way but not the other are usually junk, but not always. A coin setting at an angle will cause this.

As far as comparing features of each, go to BH web site and do some reading. Then go to the major manufactures sites and compare theirs.

All three of those detectors will beep one way and not another even when they are set up correctly. As a matter of fact that is a common occurrence for just about any detector. Falsing is when you get a "good" signal and nothing is there. It is usually caused by the sensitivity being set too high. And sometimes it can be caused by unstable ground or even overhead power lines. I have two BH detectors, one being the Land Ranger and neither will find many really deep targets except perhaps larger ferrous artifacts. Even with iron discriminated out, they will light up the screen because of the rust and the halo effect. Your depth on these machines runs around 4 to 5 inches for small nonferrous objects, sometimes six inches if the conditions are exactly right. That is using the standard coil. With the large coil you might gain an inch in depth? Any of the 3 machines you ask about are extremely good coin shooters and excel in small items such as silver earrings, etc in the playgrounds and sand lots. Since they all feature an adjustable ground balance they are very good for shallow targets on the beach and in dry or wet sand. Overall I think either of the three would make a good starter to intermediate detector as they are extremely easy to operate and still have enough bells and whistles to keep you learning. Monty
