Hey, guys, I wanted to do a small thread on a relic that I had found Sunday. I recovered it near where the old road used to be that passed by the Colonial tavern site we are hunting. When I found it, I knew it looked special. After further research and help from this forum, the relic turned out to be a Company B Civil War brass hat pin.
As stated by a reputable CW relic hunter, "Yes those company brass letters are hard to come by these days and that one is in flawless condition. I would say yours would easily go for around $100. Someone that really wanted one in GREAT shape...I could see them paying you $200; either way AWESOME Civil War relic and if I were you I wouldn't sell it anyway!!!!"
I am so thrilled about finding this awesome piece of history.
We will be heading back to the Colonial tavern this Sunday. Zoy and I already stated that we will stop going to this site when the relics become few and far between. Until then, continue to expect updates each week on this project.
