Compact, Money holder, I don't know

This is a strange one, :icon_scratch:
Looks like it has 2 spots on top for small coins, and one big one for a $20 gold piece?? :icon_king:
Little door hinged where the Gold piece would have been.
Or it was 2 spots for make up, and a mirror was behind the little door???
I also thought of a belt buckle, but there doesn't seem to be any attaching points for that ???
There is no writing on it at all
Any ideas? ??? ??? ???

Re: Compact, Money holder, I don't know

It looks like a compact, the two little rounds things might be for different color make up (don't know what kind I'm thinking of cuz I don't wear it) but that's what it looks like to me!

have you tried holding some old silver coins up to the small circles to size them up? Wish they would have left you a little tip inside the one that closed :o a twenty dollar gold piece would have surely been a nice touch.

Yes, these were normally for gold coins & not silver.
