I would welcome everybody to take a visit to the thread: "List of people not worried about a government takeover." Post #1607, page 81, Bill posted a video called "War." I found it struck deep with me. I would like to open this thread to discuss the video. Please do not discuss the video in the other thread. That is just a place to reference it...as I don't know how to get the video up on my own.

Respectfully,

Crispin

So long as there are two people on this planet, you will eventually have a fight.

It's that simple and human nature :laughing7:

Then again, we may some that are just so adamant, there will be no fight and they'll talk themselves to death :tongue3:

Anybody have any opinions on the guns and grenades in the background?

Also, I would not label this pro or anti gun, anybody got a different take?

Anybody at all care about this video or is it just me?

Crispin,

My take on it is that war doesn't solve anything....just a futile exercise and needless loss of life and injuries.

The lyrics in this video reminded me of a former relationship with the regard to a "War" between 2 individuals in a personal relationship. Which kind of gives one a different perspective when it comes to different countries or creeds and their various relationships. The very first set of lyrics in the song remind me of old enemies that just can lower their swords and move on with a peace process. The guns and grenades in the video are very powerful imagery and I do believe they are there for just that purpose. I don't believe this video is pro or anti gun in any way either. Es un video muy excelente señor.

Vid about relationships. You get along because you(plural) want to. Takes more than one side. What's the priority, what you put into it or what you get out of it?

Folks,

I went to Ahmir's website and as it turns out it's an analogy comparing the fighting within a relationship to war....

I was close but no cigar....lol.

Bill,

No doubt that there is a relationship aspect on here at the forefront. When I looked at the placement of guns, tanks, airplanes, and grenades with certain phrases I saw a political message. Sandy Hook rocked the world, musicians are starting to respond. I think the is a call for unity on both sides.

I'm not calling anybody out; however, I'm a little surprised some of the TNet heavy hitters have not weighed in. TH, Dieselram, Onfire, Worldtalker, Bluedragon, and Arnofarrell....what say you?
