I was hunting my yard on the east side of Kalispell MT the other day when I found this token. I was wondering if anyone has seen one before. It is the size of a half dollar and appears to be made of bronze. It says on one side: "In commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary Larabie Brothers Bankers Deer Lodge oldest bank in Montana 1869-1919" On the other side there is a picture of a miner panning for ore and it says "placer mining in the early days".

In addition to the token, I found a nice 1902 dime and 12 wheat pennies. I also found a bunch of modern coins and assorted pins and other interseting tidbits.

Great finds! I can't find anything online about your token, but there are a batch of folks here with token collector's books, so maybe its listed somewhere? Feel free to show of the other goodies you found. Welcome to TreasureNet!

Adding on.........

Charles X. (C.X.) Larrabee was born November 19, 1843 in Portville, New York, and moved to Omro, Wisconsin with his family in 1849. In 1875, Larrabee moved to Montana, where his brother, S.E. Larrabee (Larabie) had established himself as a successful banker. C.X. became a partner in the Larabie Bros. banking firm in Deer Lodge, Montana, and engaged in prospecting, discovering the prosperous Mountain View copper mine near Butte, Montana.
