Went to my dad's house today. We went searching for his wedding ring he had lost some time ago. He doesn't remember the exact location so we have been all over his property. While looking around an old house he had bought adjacent to his property, we found some interesting items.
The Colorado sales tax coin looked at first like an aluminum plug until I cleaned it a little, then I thought it was an old script token. Turns out that those tokens were issued between 1935 and 1945 when Colorado began having a 2% sales tax.
The dog tag is from 1941. It has a hole punched right next to the "1" so its hard to tell. Not sure if there is a way to find any information from the registration number on it.
The last (not really the last but nothing special about the clad dime...lol) is an unknown piece. If anyone has any sort of clue as to what it could be, feel free to let me know! LOL
My dad was telling me that around the early 1900s there used to be livery there so not sure if it could be something that relates to horses....?
