Colorado Newbie Ready to Explore

Hi Everyone, what an amazing site! I have always loved the outdoors, hiking, exploring etc. and have always been a treasure hunter at heart. I had an old metal detector as a kid but never took it farther than that. Well my wife and I finally got the bug after doing lots of research online and have decided to start checking out old mines, mining camps and ghost towns here in Colorado. Waiting for the snow to melt and doing lots of research on where we want to start. The old stories of lost caches are very intriguing as well. I bought my wife a Fisher F2 to learn on and I went with a Minelab X-terra 705 with the standard coil and a 6" 18.75hz for gold prospecting.
