I found this while metal detecting near the railroad tracks, in Glenwood Springs, CO. It was made by the "Whitehead & Hoag Co." I believe that it might have something to do with the National Western Stock Show. Can anyone help to identify?

I can read Denver, Great Falls, Mont??? What are the letters on the right end of the banner?

What are the men doing? Shearing sheep?

Interesting piece...

It almost looks like a security guard badge. How big is it? Is there any indication that it may have had a clasp on the back? The number on the front makes me think is is a badge Number.

Edited to add: It appears that one of the guys on the badge his holding a sickle...thrashing wheat perhaps?

Edited again: Sorry Guys :-* This link has some interesting reading on Whitehead and Hoag. The company was famous for souvenir medallions. The company was in existence from 1892 to around 1959. Sounds like the right trinket can bring a pretty penny or 2.
