Some from the highways and byways of Colorado. I started Monday driving from Denver to Grand Junction. Stopped next morning at our warehouse in Nucla which I take hwy 141 through Gateway to get to where the sunrises always seem to delight. Picked up merchandise in Nucla and headed south along a hot dry land known as Disappointment Valley. Things there are gonna be happening they say. Stopped in Dove Creek for lunch and saw all the same fine folks I've known for years with a hey how ya doing. There I headed through the backroads to Heperus Colorado and meet with some Coal miners who mentioned Coal is coming back. Funny what happens when you need energy in this ever increasing demand to charge your devices and tesla's. Going through Durango I'm thinking What A Cluster Fa. My customer there says folks who are loaded with cash are moving in like ticks on a hound and building more and more. Leaving Durango I head over Molas and Red Mountain passes and even saw fresh snow as the cold freezing rain was pouring down. Spent the next night in Montrose and got going before the sun was up and made a visit to Ouray and afterwards saw the Glenwood Canyon was shut down for mudslides and being hwy 50 is closed for construction I'll take a roundabout way through Crawford and get around all that construction and make my way through Gunnison and then up over Cottonwood pass, just because it's beautiful up there. Almost all the way back to Denver the rain was coming down and rather heavy from Leadville to Idaho Springs in spots. Stopped off the side of the road in Clear Creek Canyon and watched all that rain pouring down Clear Creek a while. Made it home by 7:30pm last night. Trips like this seem like a blur, but I did stop and take a few shots to reflect on some of the sights I saw in just two nights out.

Good pics, as usual, Grant! Several years ago Chris and I found ourselves in Dove Creek at nightfall. ended up staying the night there. Nice little burg, but not much activity...LOL

No not a lot going on in Dove Creek these days, but I'm hearing that a few of the uranium mines are fixing to fire up again.

Cool photo's! Glad you made it back home safely.
