Colonial Spanish and early American coins

It didn't start out so great today because Kirk was told to work extra hours at work. We were patient like the patient Gibbons that we are. Starting out hours after we usually get detecting proved to be a good omen after all. Kyles usual diligent research bone pointed us in the right direction. I secured permission with yet another gracious landowner. Off we went on another pirates quest for booty. This farm has at least a hundred acres of productive land that we determined will keep us bipeds happy for many weeks, months and not out of the question-YEARS. Well at least a fallback area for years. I'll let Kyle aka Zoyboy give you the particulars but let me just say that I am extremely excited about this area. The farmer told me that we can go back as many times as we want. Here's what I found and in order #1 1902 Injun
#2 1946 Rosy
#3 Classic head half cent date corroded otherwise great shape
#4 1782 Spanish Half Real
I also found 3 colonial buttons and a 1955 dog license.
Have a good one everyone
Chris

Nice hunt CSZ  The half real looks great. I wish I could find one of those.

Re: Colonial Spanish and early American coins

CSZ, you deserved those coins, you looney! As usual, folks, on the ride to the site, we were all going into our John "Johnny" Walter phase of the day. You know, "Non-glazed pottery 1700s...glazed 1800s," kind of talk! OOOF

I can't wait for next Sunday, zoyster oyster! :D

You've got to love this hobby...and I love you, Zeus. OOOOF This was probably our best hunt of our early careers so far.
