Howdy T-netters! Spur of the moment hunt today with my son at 3:00p today. Had a chance to go back to the 1812 site, but things fell through. I know I will get back there soon enough folks! Went back to the old colonial site I had been to a couple times previously instead. Searchdeep has been killing it out there. Once again, kuddos to him and his wife as they are good folks and were hunting hard the last time when I was hunting out there with them. I think they found the actual home site. I'm sure the finds I've posted are of the period. Heavily crusted hoe and tomahawk. Once again, what a hoe, what a hoe! Heavy too! I may try some electrolysis on them. My 12 volt battery charger method is working well these days. The other two objects in the other pic are of a mystery to me. The thing on he left may be the top of a container. It is copper I think. Notice the small holes like a shaker top. The other item my son found. I'm clueless. Any input on ANY of these items is appreciated! Do you think they are of the period....Colonial? Enjoy the pics and HH ya'll!

Those are 2 really nice iron artifacts. They should clean up nicely after a few days in the electrolysis tank. Please post them once they've been preserved.

NICE HISTORY THERE !!

Axe is killer:headbang:

Wondering if it's a trade axe?

Colonial relics in Florida who knew..

The OP is from Orange Park, just about 30 miles from St. Augustine. Now that's old...founded in 1565. Plenty of potential in this area of Fla.

Great looking belt axe/Tomahawk, what is actual size?
