sweet stirrup man heck of a nice find! not sure about the oval piece but don't think it is a rossette

Nice idea say yall nailed it just weird it was less than 3 feet away from the stirrup but I found the va 4 virginia button that is on my profile picture less than 15 feet away from the stirrup. Thanks everyone hopefully more will be dug preserved and shared only time will tell . HH

Yep, from a chest of draws where the handle goes.

Can anyone tell me about my stirrup time period or if it is confederate like my va 4 button?

I would say yes and probably CS usage .looks allot like number 1 in first pic to me001.JPG002.JPG

Hey ,furniture went to war at times too. Field desks are one example.

I'd like to say yes I don't really know how to date or identify stirrups but I think yall are right or on the right track thanks for all the input like I was saying it wasn't but a few feet where I had dug the confederate 1830s to 1850s alberts va 4 virginia button wich has been one of my favorite finds considering va is my home state.
