This was found a long time ago and have never been able to ID it.. it is 2" wide and 2 3/4" tall. The site produced a wide range of relics, coins etc.. including a few War of 1812 items and plenty of Civil War relics. Any ideas?

It is thin brass with a design in the center. The design has a oval in the center with flowers/leaves around it.. and a lined design around that mainly on the bottom.

Thanks..

Update: I made the pics a little larger then normal.. there are solder marks on the back not sure what type of connectors were there but it "connected" to something?? and with the detail left on the front? I swear at times it looks like a Scottish Thistle to me?? The holes, well.. I have no clue!

OK....here's my W.A.G.. Flip it over so holes are on bottom....looks like a slide type divider.

Try to invert the colors. I tried to post a pic with it inverted and couldn't. Shows a little more detail when inverted.
