I dug this "coin" at the site of an inactive 18th century farm where I have found several old coppers, some round balls, and a couple seated liberty coins. I was pretty excited digging this "coin" until I saw it was blank except for the Latin abbreviation "Dei Gra Re(x)," meaning by the Grace of God, King (The "x" is missing and I assume the word is not actually"Regina"). There appears to be a small cross between Gra and Re(x), which may be a clue to the "coin's" origin, perhaps it is French or Spanish? It is well worn (or melted) and pretty scarred up, I suppose by farm equipment. I am not sure what to think, and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas as to whether this is indeed a coin and where/when it is from. Thanks for looking!
Edit: Could this actually be a 1920-1936 Canadian Dime, with the cross between Gra and Rex being from the top of the king's crown?
