Have pics up on the finds forum, was told to try it here. Here are some pics of this mangled melted silver coin.
The bust faces left and I believe there to be a us at 9:00 going clockwise. Possibly vus.
Also I thought I saw 1774 maybe 17?? Under the bust off to the right. The not cleaned pic will show the 17 or the I and maybe T it would be if not 17. The cleaned version shows the bust better along with the us possibly vus.
It was found on a rev war battle site.
I was thinking possibly a kg2 shilling but the letters wouldn't match.
