Relic Hunting
Hey guys,

Did some hunting at an old crossing point and found a few colonial relics. Looking for help regarding the third item- it contains an oval stone wrapped in copper, is 1 inch in length, and the back has three holes. Found near the flat button which dates the area to the late 1700s. Thanks for the help!

The stone looks like a banded agate. I believe it's kind of a Scottish fashion thing to use banded agate stones in dress buttons and jewelry pieces, or so it seems to me. I see nothing that looks newer then a 100 years old, imo. The stone set button could be a cufflink piece or collar button of some kind?. The buckle to the left and button next to it look like the oldest items to me by the way they're made would be my guess.
