Hey y'all. Found both of these today near Charleston, SC at a colonial site which was also occupied by both sides during the revolutionary war. Can't seem to find an ID for them online and wondering if theyre military or civilian. First one appears to say IRINA? Second one has a design and a small star at the top. Both pewter. Also terrified they'll deseintegrate (can't spell it) if I take them out of the mineral oil and attempt to clean them up anymore. Any preservation tips also appreciated. Thanks!!!

Smaller button may actually read "IPANA" if that helps?

If it says "Ipana", then it probably pertains to the toothpaste. Probably a top to the tube.
