Nice!!!!!! Congrats !!!!

Great looking jug

Nice stuff. Your bottles with perhaps the exception of the amber flask are post 1900 when the crown closures were invented. Some of the retro Coke bottles still use this closure and a lot of us remember getting the 5 cent Coke bottles out of the machines back in the day with the same "crown" closure.

Your jug is early to mid 19th century. That's when stoneware became vastly popular and more available and the thick rim is the key to dating it. We find these in antiques stores here frequently, at least we used to when the antique stores were open! By the time of the Civil War the ovoid shape was lost and moved more toward a straight side, becoming totally straight sided by the end of the century.

Any day you get an intact bottle or jug it's a good day.

Thanks everyone and thanks Smokey for the info...

The first thing I wanted to collect was bottles. They have always been hard for me to get. Until this week. Film at 11. Still cleaning them up some.

Love the dive videos and the finds....:icon_thumright:
