Had a great hunt with Jim and his Mom from morning to sunset. My very first signal was a 1908 Barber followed by a very clean 1896 Indian. Pulled two matching eagle buttons with thirteen stars, wood backed or bone backed maybe. A matching conductors button like the one Jim had found. The finds were very varied, a 1773 Farthing, two broaches, a locket cover, buckles, lead bales a neat little silver medallion depicting a religious scene, I think it might of been a part of a rosary, I have to clean it up. A neat James Pepper whiskey token and some little's. I also found a spoon with New York's state seal. I think it came from a set of state seal dinner ware, Jim's Mom found one last year from another state at the same site. Well the lady in the crew waited again till the end to strike pulling a little pendant. The last time it was a gold diamond ring, ladies luck... Wish I would have brought the portable generator and flood lights, I was not ready to quit. The signals and finds were coming at a rapid pace as the sun dipped below the horizon. Thanks again to Jim and his Mom for the invite to hunt their very special site. Arty
