Well got out with Neil, Dale, and my buddy Matt. Hit some woods that produced shotgun shells and left for greener pastures. Hit up another one of our fields and got into it pretty good. Of course Neils beauty of a dime was the find of the day...Nay the year but we still found a lot of good stuff. I ended up solo at the field for a while until Jason got word and rushed over. We began digging tombac after tombac, then some nice cuff links, and then 2 coppers. One of which blew me away condition wise. 1718 KG1 and a smooth liberty cap, you can barely see the ribbon and head. This field was very loamy/sandy and everything came out very preserved. Ended up with nearly 20 tombacs, a blow hole button. 2 colonial coppers and a bunch of bits and pieces of shoe buckles. I dug one complete knee buckle im assuming it is pretty small. Taking 2 advil as we speak. Started at 8AM and finished at 5:30 with no food or drink. Its weird how you don't get thirsty or hungry when you are digging colonial stuff. Thanks for looking! Pics of Jason's copper In Situ.

Wow, Jim, you guys have a great site there. :headbang: Could you show the other relics? I would love to see the shoe buckle pieces and the knee buckle. You guys are digging maniacs. :notworthy:

Kirk :hello:

Well Jim you had a super great LONG day also. I think the KGI Halfpence must have been made with a good batch of copper, I have seen quite a few of them come out of the ground in great shape, compared to the William's and KGII and especially the KGIII's..........Buckle,buttons, coins, cufflink, don't get much better than that and oh yeah being with a guy finding his best find ever!

Don

Thanks a lot guys it was a blast. Heres pics of buckles and bits.

Nice going on the George! I am sorry I had to bale on you guys early, but I made some promises to the wife...

Anyway I am glad you did well after I left. Who know? Maybe there is another 1795 Half Dime waiting.

Let me know when you want to get back. I will wait for you before we return.

Dime, half dime, same thing! Give or take 5 cents. Yes daylight savings cometh. Its good because this field is 5 mins from work. And all the stuff found was in maybe and acre or two. Theres about 90 total :o. Cya soon.
