✅ SOLVED colonial Buttons and silver with gold pendant, not sure what it symbolizes??

Found these today at the back of an old house

not sure what the Pendant represents and if it has any meaning?

all are soaking in peroxide now, buttons are showing nice gilt

Cool find. It's a lotus flower... the symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Here's a modern one:

I think " self-regeneration and rebirth" is rather fitting for a new nation ,
and the ecitement of building new nation

not trying to bust your chops on your find, but the Lotus flower item isn't a colonial artifact. It's a modern zipper pull

Nice old button finds, regarding the pendant/zipper pull, that hatching pattern is something I've only seen on modern non precious metal articles, though I have seen some marked as precious metal.
