Colonial Buttons and Mystery Object!

I had some spare time to detect in my yard and found these 2 colonial buttons within 30 minutes!

These are the fronts. One is tombac and the other is brass.

These are the backs. The tombac button's shank is still there, but the brass button's shank is missing.

I also found this mystery object. Any ideas on what it could be would be appreciated. It is the same diameter as an American dime, but it is a lot thinner.

These are the two sides of this thing.
The side in the first picture has a mark on it. The mark is in the picture below. It almost looks like two "D" marks facing the opposite way.

That's pretty cool to find those in your own yard that quickly if it was my yard Id be all over it Great finds I bet theres gotta be lots more cant wait to see what else you find Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!

Nice finds congrats. Were you in woods or did your ground thaw? Here in Mass only the woods will do sadly!
 

I found all of these on a hill in my yard that the sun beats down on & melts it.
