It helps to have it in front of you when trying to identify a find, but these pic's will have to do.
The button is 15mm, cuffbutton most likely, the bust is right facing, and there are some letters
around the head. The area where it was recovered wasn't favorable to it's preservation, if the soil
had better drainage it's features would be much easier to distinguish. I would date its manufacture
around 1770 to 1790 from its general composition. This little button is quite intresting, your
opinion's on further Identification and all other feedback is greatly apreciated. Thank's for looking,
