✅ SOLVED Colonial button or just a broach?

Found this large piece in a fire pit along with a bunch of 1929 stuff (dates on some items) and a 1947 dog license. This, however, seemed out of place. Could either be a large button or a broach. I am out of my depth when it comes to these - looking for assitance. Thanks.
