Hey everyone! I went back to the site where I found my GW button the other day and about 50 ft away from it, I came up this baby. I was freaking out because I thought it was another Inaugural button but it doesn't look like that's gunna be the case...it's a little rough but After a little cleaning it looks like there is an eagle or bird design with the bent wings outward. It sort of looks like a war of 1812 design except its much larger. It is approx. 34mm in diameter and weighs about 5 grams( just like GW's) I compared the button to the GW that I found the other day for size reference. Please let me know if you have any idea of what it might be! :unhappysmiley:
If a drawing of what I personally see would help I can provide that too!

Ben, two ideas. Try to do a rubbing of the coin. Also, if you have a scanner, scan it. Sometimes that brings out details. Negative images also help sometimes. Cool looking though. To me I see two wings. Looks to be something in between them up high as well?

I think it's a plow... which is an image that was used on early buttons.

Never saw it like that..But that could be it. The 2 "wings" being like plow handles.
