I have just acquired a KWM-2a with 312b-5. It is a round emblem with dial lock. The transceiver also has the Waters rejection filter installed. Both units came in interesting cabinets. Color of the cabinets more closely resembled the paint color of a 75A-4 than the standard s-line color. Additionally the KWM-2a cabinet has three large cooling fans (12 VDC) very professionally mounted across the rear.
I know that some KWM-2a's were taken out of mothballs to be used during Desert Storm. Does anyone have any more info on these units? How many were there? What were the modifications?
My unit has obviously had the following mods:

What do you think? Do you know of others like this? I believe there was one listed on eBay in the past, but it is no longer in the history for eBay.

My unit has obviously had the following mods:
- Waters rejection filter
- RF Output is a BNC connector
- Tube shields are mil-spec IERC shields
- Power connector from 312B-5 to transceiver has a rubber waterproof connector over the plug
- Custom or modified cabinets for the transceiver and 312B-5. Three brushless Panaflo 12VDC fans mounted on the transceiver cabinet. Both cabinets a different color scheme than the standard S-line.
