Most of you, probably, don't remember the Tom Mix western movies made back in the 1920's and 1930's but might remember the Tom Mix radio show that ran from 1933 to 1950 called "Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters". During that time these rings were placed in Ralston cereal boxes. I've had these rings in my collection for a number of years and can't remember where I dug them up. The one on the left has a Sterling signature plate in the top.

Swanie, Nice rings ! Do you have any shadow, Jack Armstrong or Sky King stuff ? I found a lone Ranger star badge it was Bond bread bread premium . Do you know anything about it ? I'm Still looking for Mortamer Snred w/ crazy car. Some day he'll show up.

Thanks Acevillav

Nice stuff!
I posted a TM spinner coin that I found about a year ago.
Those silver rings are really cool though.

I'm not old enough to remember Tom Mix but my Dad told me about him and he was featured in a comic book for a spell in the late 50s.? Remember what his horse's name was and what he always said when he went after the bad guys?? "Dig dirt Topper"!? I saw a couple of his movies on cable? when they had an Old Western channel.? A little known fact is that he was a palbearer at Wyatt Earp's funeral.? Wyatt Earp was a technical advisor on some of his movies.? Nice rings and very collectable.? Monty

I, previously, posted pictures of two TOM MIX collectable rings. Later, I realized that still had one that I didn't include in the post. It is a TOM MIX signet ring that I found somewhere. It was in some of my older ring finds and I didn't realize that I had it.

Very nice collectibles. This past summer I dug a Ralston Straight Shooters ID bracelet....Joe

Why isn't there anything cool in cereal anymore?! When I was little I remember my uncle playing a trick on me-pulling out rolls of lifesavers, candy bars, and I thought it was the coolest thing. Now you have to go online and enter a code to see if you won anything and I guess I'm too lazy to bother. I miss the good 'ol days.

Great looking rings, Congrats!!!
I think the show was just a little before my time, and I don't think I ever heard of the guy until I seen someone post a ring here on Tnet.
I think most of what i have learned in the last few years has been here on the forum... ;D
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Nice rings. By the way Tom Mix's horse was named Tony. Hopalong Cassidy had Topper. I remember listening to all those cowboy radio programs back in the 40's.

Those are fantastic finds! Any idea what the G is for on the third ring?

I think that the "G" on the ring is some kid's initial as you, probably, could order one with your initial on it.

Cool rings.

I did not know who Tom Mix was until I was at the car museum in the Imperial Palace Casino, Las Vegas and they had his convertable car as part of the collection. If my memory is correct I believe he died in a crash with that car.

Trivia

1. Mix was a pallbearer at the funeral of Wyatt Earp (he reportedly wept but this could be a Hollywood embellishment).
2. He rode in Theodore Roosevelt's inaugural parade, led by Seth Bullock
3. Texas governor Homer Allred named Mix an honorary Texas Ranger in 1935, late in his career.
