COLD QUESTION--

Im no expert but i would think frost and light snow should not be a problem . froze ground is, just take extra battery's in a warm pocket just in case . myself if i was on a hot location weather elements would never stop me ,the great finds would just keep me warm.

One of my machines LOVED it when the ground was just starting to freeze. I was looking for Revolutionary War buttons in a pounded out spot - and the pewter seemed to read better with a little ice in the ground. I have no idea why.

Have never got to use my AT pro in the cold but with the digital screen i plan on taping a hothands to the top of the case if its a problem ,should keep it warm enough for good battery life and keep it working.

Just bring extra batteries or buy another rechargeable pack. I forget which they use. Most times I take about 3 sets of batteries on a day, one extra for the pinpointer and keep the charger going for the Deus with me everywhere I go.
