Hi guys. Cold day to go out, 12c and expecting rain but just had to go.
Went to spot close by, been detected pretty well over the past years but anywhere is still worth a go I reckon.

This is the shallow run the old timers worked.

Targets were pretty scarce, few hot rocks and wet clay mineral signals fooled me.
Then a nice sharp soft sound about 40 minutes in. Couple to few inches into some undisturbed ground and a good sounding bit of mineralised quartz is in my hand.
Nothing visible though.

15 more minutes and I had to go as the temp dropped and rain moved in.

Home and out with the destroyer. :laughing7:

Crushed, still struggling to see it though and surprised given how loud it was near the coil. Its in the picture though.

Little sneaky bit. You'd have thought it would have been 5 times the size, all golds good gold though to me and always fun to find :icon_thumright:

Nice find.

Hi, yes there are a lot of small run areas. That one is a small feeder gully running into a larger one several hundred meters away. There are quite a number of head scratcher areas here :icon_scratch: where even those who are well seasoned prospectors well above my level have no explanation for them.
There's lots of places that one can figure out and others have too, but sometimes some just defy logic and known listed occurances.

Ok, same spot but on the hillside.
This is a small gold machine and im under no, is it delusions or illusions 🤔, anyway it's doing its job. Stopped short again from rain and as it goes the sun came out when I got home. 😆
Shame it wasn't made waterproof. Will be interesting when the Nokta gets released how it compares as the Nokta is going to be waterproof. I wish the Algo was. I wish too it had Bluetooth for headphones but I wish lots of things.
Anyway, just two tiny bits that were unmistakable as metal signals. The flat smooth flake one was about 2 inches in heavily mineralised ground so I was very happy to get it. I reckon as I dug it out it went on its side and for a minute there I didn't hear it till I flattened out the dug out stuff. Then came in loud and clear.

They are very small, but the signals for the size in heavily mineralised ground are impressive. They are VLF type stuff in quiet ground but a VLF wouldn't have a hope pinging these in the ground they were in.
Cheers. 👍
