Down here in Aust we are heading into winter and our temperatures are dropping, today I thought I would give the water a go and hopefully not freeze. Well I was in the water about ten minutes and even though I was wearing a full wet suit I was shivering.
I got a signal and instantly warmed up when it turned out to be a nice little 18ct gold ring with a small diamond. I detected on for about and hour started to shiver when I found another ring but this one was only junk but it warmed me up again and this was the pattern for the rest of my time get cold get a signal dig and warm up.Then I got a small gold tiny Mother Mary charm from a charm bracelet, followed by an old brass Aeroplane which looks like an old Spitfire or Mustang. I started to get cramp in my legs and I knew I had to get out of the water. Then when I was nearly ashore I got another signal and it turned out to be another gold ring this one was only 9ct but still very welcome. All in all it was a good day but it made me realise I will have to get myself another warmer wetsuit if I want to detect again at this time of year.
